Phew, it is TOO long since my last post!
Needless to say we have had a VERY busy Autumn and Winter :) If you follow our facebook page you will keep up to date with new stock as it comes in and any other news ... and loads of gorgeous owl pics.
Tomorrow we are going to the NEC at Birmingham for one of the biggest wholesale gift shows. We will be hunting out new stock to add to our lovely owl collection. We will also be on the lookout for new products to add to the new ranges we introduced last year - foxes, chickens, mice and hedgehogs - as well as products for our new dogs and cats ranges. One of the companies I will be making a beeline for is local to us and specialises in fair trade gifts - can't wait!
While you are waiting for our new stock to arrive you might like to take advantage of our latest offer - personalised printed ribbon for just £1.00! This will be available at the special price for another few days, just time to get your valentines gift sorted.

Wow, quite a lot has happened since my last post. In particular I had a car accident on my way home from owl headquarters nearly 4 weeks ago now. My poor hubby had the phone call that everyone dreads. My little car was hit in the side by a much larger volvo, breaking my pelvis in 4 places! Whilst that sounds pretty horrid it could have been an awful lot worse, nothing inside was damaged and I have internal pins and what is lovingly called my scaffolding (metal frame thingy pinned in) holding everything in place while my bones heal. If/when I get a new car it will be an armored tank ... complete with gun turrets.
At home we are all coping just fine, the girls are being great - being more independent and helping with the day-to-day stuff, friends and family all pitching in and my fantastic hubby being just that - fantastic in every way. The business is running smoothly with Dad taking on all the day to day parcel packing and post office runs and me doing as much of the behind the scenes stuff as possible - maintaining stock levels, managing the website and Amazon, doing all the social bits etc.
Meanwhile ... I have some new stock to show you, all currently on the news and offers page on the website:

What a great Easter holiday :) We had a great week in Scotland, walking, cycling and enjoying the
(mostly) lovely spring weather. We climbed Ben Vorlich - very proud of
my girls. We cycled along the lochside with Skipper the dog running
along side. He had a great day as we stopped for lunch by an idyllic bit
of river so he got a good swim as well! He rides in a basket on the back of my bike when he gets tired.
We also saw the amazing engineering of the Falkirk wheel.
Just before Easter we had a delivery of loads of new stationery - academic diaries, notebooks, note cards, folders ... Grab yourself a bargain this week - we have 15% discount on selected owl stationery! Use the code "stationery15" at the checkout.

Is it too early to start dreaming of Creme Eggs?
It was my birthday yesterday, got some lovely and very thoughtful gifts, particularly from my girls. They made me a sheet of vouchers for all sorts of things including a car wash (inside and out!), a dog walk, a meal made and breakfast in bed. Very sweet, which shall I cash in first? They also got me some lovely handcream from our local apothecary and some yummy shower gel. We had a parent's evening to go to, not the most exciting of ways to spend your birthday but we are going to do something nice together this weekend :)
We have some great offers over on the website for Easter. If you fancy getting something a bit different from the usual giant chocolate egg (NOT that there is anything wrong with giant choccie eggs ... ) we might be able to help. We are giving away a chocolate egg with every egg cup sold!! You can get the full set of 4 themed chocolate chuckle bars for the price of 3 AND the set of 3 solid chocolate owl, mice and hedgehogs for the price of 2!!!

Yay! Today is the first day of spring! The mornings are lighter, the fields of full of lambs and there are flowers everywhere. I even did a bit of gardening this week - I have got my broad bean seeds sown outside and tomato seeds are germinating on the window sill (at least, I hope they are!).
Something else that Spring is all about is Easter and Mothers Day. I have put together some of my favourite products that your mum might enjoy.
I have my birthday to look forward to later in the month though actually it all goes a bit by the way side these days - we have a parents evening for my eldest daughter so not even birthday tea :( However, it is only 2 weeks until the Easter hols when I get them both at home for a couple of weeks :)

Yippee, the new mugs are in!
I am really pleased - love the designs and the quality, lovely bone china. The Quentin Blake "Owl" has been very popular so we have topped up stock of those and brought in new "Fantastic Mr Fox" and the chicken which I think is the chicken from Georges marvelous medicine. Th collective noun "Parliament of Owls" has also been popular so we have topped up on these and brought in the "Skulk of Foxes" and "Prickle of Hedgehogs". We have on order some other collective noun bits to complement the new mugs - watch this space!
Also in last week was a new range of hand cast pewter jewellery and miniature figures:
and these lovely collectable ceramic egg cups, salt and pepper shakers and jugs.
The mugs will be going on the website over the next few days and the jewellery and ceramics are are already up there so go and have a browse and spread the word!

Where did January and February go? It is half term next week! I have started to notice that the days are getting longer at last, my older daughter is now leaving for school in the light again :)
Last week we went to Birmingham to a HUGE trade fair, we saw loads of scrummy owl, fox, hedgehog, mouse and chicken products and have spent the rest of last week and the beginning of this deciding which to order and getting our orders in. Can't wait to show you all the new stock as it arrives, particularly in our new fox, hedgehog, mouse and chicken ranges.
This week we have 25% off all the mugs. I have ordered some more mugs, some in the same designs we have stocked before and some in new designs. The new mugs are all china so you can grab yourselves a porcelain bargain right now to help avoid confusion when the new stock arrives!
