We have visited the bird of prey centre near York  http://www.minsterfalconry.com/ and it is great. It is very hands on, loads of information and volunteers willing to talk about the birds. Very exciting news - we are hoping to develop some links with an owl sanctuary near York. We are developing a new webpage to keep you updated with info about the sanctuary and the work they do as well as any interesting cases they have. Hopfully it shouldn't be too long before we have some photos to upload.

Our latest owls flying in this week are:
A wooden owl clock - so cute he will appeal to collectors and kids alike;

A night-light with wooden owl motif - fantastic for a childs bedroom, well known to keep all monsters away!

A dry wipe white board - this has a lovely big area for writing and owl stickers to decorate the surrounding wall.

ruler with a really cool slider with owl and tree motif.

Am currently designing a range of owl themed party products for the website http://www.englishowlcompany.com/ - cups, plates, party bags ...
The range is going to be as low carbon footprint as possible: The plates are made from bagasse - a waste product from sugar cane production; we are offsetting the production of the cups through a tree planting scheme; invites etc all printed on recycled paper.

We have talking with a small producer of cushions and other fabric items. They make really lovely stuff, very high quality. We have ordered some aprons - an orange one, a green one and a blue one - and they are making us some samples of some cushions and ipad covers. These are exculusive to The English Owl Company!

These aprons are really good - fully adjustable with poppers at the neck fastening, loads of pockets, really robust, fully washable - fab. The owl motive is really cute, hand finished with button eyes.
